Behold, I am Computer Magnate! Hear my computer chips and memory pins buzz with fury! I come bearing computer wisdom that I may thrust it upon you in my benevolence.
Today's Important Computer Wisdom Bit is thus: Never buy a laptop when a desktop will do. This is wisdom for the ages!
Sure, a laptop is a heck of a lot more convenient than a desktop, but if you don't absolutely need a laptop for work or school, why bother? Behold the great evidence of this folly:
Desktops are cheaper than laptops. A desktop will provide you with added value in being able to cram additional functions and features into the box for the same price as a skeleton laptop.
Longevity is greatly enhanced with a desktop. You aren't moving it like a laptop. Assume that the parts used in both are approximately equal in quality and the laptop is going to turn to junk quicker than the desktop regardless of the initial price.
Theft prevention is reduced with a desktop. People steal out of opportunity and most people are not going to have the opportunity to steal the desktop tied to your desk inside your home. Just face it.
If you haven't been convinced by my superior wisdom, you will be terminated by lightening shot from my fingertips.
